flying into the thick of it

I mentioned awhiles back about the On a Wing and a Chair project that my friend Dave has underway. The culmination of the plan is for him to do a solo flight around Australia next year in a plane he has modified so he can fly it irrespective of his quadraplegia.

He has just completed another 'mini' trip, after his three week Central Australia one in April - this time to Cameron's Corner and the Dig Tree from Tooradin (in the far south east of Australia for those elsewhere). A distance of approx. 1,400km give or take plus that again to get back (here's what it looks like on google maps). Cameron's Corner is the point where Queensland, NSW and South Australian borders meet... others might call it 'the middle of nowhere'.
